Mitch never ceases to amaze me with his remarkable enthusiasm and passion for music and music education. He genuinely cares about his students and not only helps them become better musicians, but inspires them to be better humans. For the programs and projects who have been fortunate enough to benefit from his leadership, he has been and continues to be a constant source of innovation, generosity, and positivity.
– Mary Haller, flutist and staff songwriter, Green Hills Music (Nashville)
Mitch is the author of the book In Search of Meaning – Frank L. Battisti: The Conservatory Years and into the New Millennium, a definitive study of this renowned Conductor Emeritus of the New England Conservatory (NEC) in Boston.
Mitch studied under Battisti as a graduate student at NEC and presents a comprehensive, deeply researched book about a music visionary who has been a tireless advocate of wind ensembles and an acclaimed music educator domestically and internationally.
